He’s name Edi Fadhil. born in Aceh Besar district, June 16, 1984. He would gave a simple thing how to use a social media likes Facebook network for social activities. The man who have a bright ideas has been familiarly knows as “the Charity man” to utilizes Facebook campaign to raise fund to build houses for poor peoples in Aceh.
"We need your help to build houses for poor peoples in Aceh. It may save children from poverty's life. It also may save someone you love, and it's very important,” said Edi Fadhil when interviewed by Whatapps.
Nowadays, he has just finished to build 13 houses for poor peoples in Aceh province. Edi Fadhil said that the first his initiative began when visited to Lhok Gajah village, a rural district in Sawang region, North Aceh. In this place, he found a house measuring 3x2,5 meters beloged to Habibullah. In this simple home, Habibullah stays with his wife, Marjannah and two children.
“My tears came drop when saw his home. That’s why I have an idea how to raise fund to campaign and then build Habibullah’s house. The first time, I took some pictures of his home. I told the condition about his home and then I shared it on my own Facebook,” said Edi Fadhil.
At that time, Edi Fadhil gave a little bit challenge to the netizen if they give a like or giving comment about the condition on his Facebook status, they should be donated about Rp 100 thousand.
“Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah, at this campaign I able to raise funds approximately Rp 37 Millions,” Said Edi Fadhil.
In addition, he need some volunteers who would help him to give support for supervising his ideas. The volunteers would not be paid. Edi hopes that the social media likes Facebook can be inspired another peoples who have a big dream to help poor peoples in Aceh.
"I would like to share my life as a way of life, and I hope that this activity will be a trigger for the government to work on basic needs such as housing, education, and health," said Edi.
