Friday Sept 21st Shill and Chill Recap

So here we are a week later and its time for another Shill and Chill Hangout with the folks from Hive account@helpie.

For those of you who aren't aware what "Shill and Chill" is here's a brief explanation.

The idea behind Friday's Shill portion of the event is to raise awareness of other people's posts. Like most other discord channels there is of course a post promotion channel where people can flag their own posts and hopefully get users to go, read, comment and of course upvote. But how many people are really going through every post in their channels promotion section?

#Helpie takes this to a new level with the Shill event. The idea is quite simple but also quite brilliant. Each member who wants to participate in the event must choose another Hive account@helpie members posts and present it to the group. No promoting your own post. This gets the participants more involved in what the other members of the community have posted in the last week.

Sounds easy enough right? All you have to do is find a great post and sell others on why it's great or why you believe it is worthy of additional upvotes and comments.

Now before I get into who shilled what and who won, there was a special guest at last night's Hangout

Mr. Hive account@scrooger (the duck himself folks) dropped by talk a little about his @Qurator project and team. We were also lucky enough to have a few of his mods Hive account@blacklux, Hive account@ackhoo and Hive account@ewkaw

Instead of the normal 4 steem registration fee, he would instead charge 3 steem for existing Hive account@helpie members.
