Looks like it went through as smooth as a hot knife through butter! Great job by the core devs with the work on this!
One quick thing I wanted to point out towards curation changes:
Your votes now always use the max possible strength when you vote something up with a 100% vote. I.e. it doesn't depend on your current mana any longer.
To give you an example, if you were at 50% voting mana in the past and attempted to cast a 100% vote, it would only direct half of the inflation it could compared to if you had let your voting mana generate up to or close to 100%. It would also before the hardfork only spend half the mana for that "100%" but in reality 50% vote, which meant that to get to 0% voting mana (or close to it), you would need to do so many votes back then as each one would spend less and less mana and direct less and less strength.
This has now changed where your 100% vote will always burn 2% voting mana and give max strength no matter your voting mana at the time. Meaning you can basically deplete your voting mana by casting 50x 100% votes in a row (if you start at 100%).
I tested it earlier, I was sitting at 65.81% mana and did a 100% vote, this cost me 2% mana bringing me down to 63.81% mana, but did a full strength vote (as if my mana was at 100%). Whereas before the hardfork, it would've only spent 1.3162% mana and only cast a 65.81% strength vote when having the vote slider at 100%.
I know this may all be a bit confusing and hard to articulate properly, but I think this might be a good change. It means smaller accounts will always have a full vote when voting 100% which may help them get past the dust threshold but they gotta keep in mind that their voting mana will drop faster now due to this change for consistently casting 100% votes! So keep an eye on that!
If you still can't reach the dust threshold when voting on comments not many others many add their vote to, remember to use on your posts!
I won't get into the other changes here in this post, it's getting a bit late and I need some sleep, but thought I'd mention that part as it's a big part of what I do here! Thanks for reading!
