Once again, the posts I spend the most amount of time and effort on, and which have the most substance get the least attention. It probably has a lot to do with when I post (when the largest percentage of the world is sleeping or working). Timing shouldn’t have much to do wish your success at steemit but it really does.
It also seems that steemvoter is down, all the people who autovote me have been missing...oops. Let’s be realistic, no one succeeds at steemit without being put on someone’s autovote. I’m even using autovote now because our feeds are just too over saturated because making posts is INCENTIVIZED with $$$. I’m not railing on anyone, I just wish it wasn’t a necessity to be on an autovote to succeed. The first step to quitting an addiction is to recognize you have an addiction, and steemit is addicted to autovoting.
Still, I greatly appreciate all who do put me on your autovote and would be thrilled if more people did so, cause that’s just where we are at now at steemit. I think of it as similar to becoming a patron at Patreon
What can we do about the problems at steemit?
If steemit isn’t going to get its act together with communities, we need to form our own communities and use tags strategically. The Be Awesome community is free to use the tag #deepshit when posting about something they deem “deep”.
Community is more than just tags and chat rooms though, it means building trust, understanding and a sense of purpose together. It means building consensus and coming up with solutions to problems together.
We can also make sure we give mutual support to those who deserve it. I’m trying to pay more attention to posts by all the people who leave quality comments on my posts. This is a big deal. If whales all did it, we’d all be rich right now. Don’t get on them, they get swamped with trash and it’s hard to tell us minnows apart sometimes. Still, I see one whale whose really generous with comments but really stingy with his upvote,unless it’s on the trending page...makes me wonder. Once again not railing, just calling it like it is.

What is Anger?
I think there is some real insight in this post...if anyone has or know someone who has anger issues, I encourage you to read it. Sad that no one saw it even with 1150 followers, but that’s how it is when I don’t time my posts better :-P The payout sucked but no comments on top of thst is rough.
Learn a Language Quickly
Low payouts is one thing. 0 comments makes me wonder if I’m wasting my time. I got autovote pretty nicely, but I don’t write just to be autovote. This post is a little basic, but I’m certainly not going to bother getting to more useful strategies for learning s language if no one can get this far. EDIT: the beautiful 
The Deadpost Initiative
There was a bunch of resteems and great big dolphin votes on a post mentioning this initiative....last time I checked there weren’t any resteems for this post though haha. I appreciate everyone who resteemed....it would have been better to resteem this. I’ve actually lost money on this initiative overall. I’m not complaining, I can quit any time but I truly believe it belong somewhere on the trending page every week so I’m not giving it up. I also love to be able to spread some wealth with users who struggle with the same problems I struggle with.
Thanks for everyones continued support, but we need to find some whales to jump in and upvote this every week. Until they all put me on their autovoters, it’s kind of hard to raise the funds every week.
