We are at Goodwood for the classic motor racing.
We loaded the Porsche with our camping gear and had a steady 4 hour drive down to near Chichester in southern England. Just north of Portsmouth. Set the tent up and had a look round.
It's a big site
We did get great entertainment while looking round, an air display from a Spitfire. Doing climbs, loops and upside down flying. The planes, including a P51 Mustang are based here. Photos to come.
Mustang taking off.
We are helping out in the mornings as volunteers, checking people's tickets on one of the grandstands. It keeps the cost of the weekend down and provides access to more exclusive places.
This is a bit of a special event. Most people dress up in 40s to 60s costume to go with the racing.
The whole site is themed in period sets. Shops etc.
Period vehicles everywhere including 100s of Fiat 500s.
This racing is fast and noisy with incredible cars that are worth millions. They do not hold back.
The photos are not the best due to it being very wet and windy (dull) and taken with zoom on an iPhone.
