Readily ignored are the approximately 850,000 Jews made refugees from Muslim countries since the early 20th century. But not to be forgotten, is Captain Elgen Long and his crews for Alaskan Airlines who from 1948 to 1950, saved approximately 50,000 Yemeni Jews from Yemen. Today, these survivors number some 750,000.
