Meir Lansky
Meir Lansky is a Jew born in Belarus. At the age of 9 moved with his family to New York. Since my childhood I became friends with Charles "Lucky" Luciano, which predetermined his fate. For decades, Meir Lansky was one of the most important authorities in criminal America. During the "dry law" in America, he was engaged in illegal transportation and sale of alcoholic beverages. Later, the "National Criminal Syndicate" was created and a network of underground bars and bookmakers' offices was opened. For many years, Meir Lansky developed a gambling empire in the United States. In the end, tired of constant police supervision, he leaves for Israel for a 2-year visa. The FBI demanded his extradition. After the expiration of the visa, he wants to move to another state, but no one accepts it. He returns to the United States, where he will be tried. The charges were dropped, but the passport was revoked. Last years he lived in Miami and died in hospital from cancer.
