One of the wildest Bloody Marys we’ve found is the Meat Shot Glass Bloody Mary. It comes in a meat shot glass.
If you're looking for something out of the ordinary to share with your guests, then this might be the drink for you.
Take ground beef or pork, chop up a few peppers, add garlic and other spices you’d use for meatballs, and mold the meat around a clean, label-free, metal shot glass .
Fire up the grill and place the glasses carefully on top.
Heat until the meat firms and crisps up, and then let the meat glasses cook through for 5 – 8 more minutes, checking every so often to make sure they don’t burn. Afterwards, let them cool and fill them up with your favorite Bloody Mary mix.
You can garnish with a cheese stick, bacon, and something green or keep it simple.
The ingredients are:
- 1lb ground beef, 80/20, ask the butcher for double ground (should yield 8 shot glasses).
- 2 jalapeno peppers, seeds removed and minced.
- 5 cloves garlic, minced.
- 2 tsp celery salt.
- 1 tsp pepper.
- 1 tsp arbol chile powder.
Directions:
- Blend all of your ingredients together in a medium bowl.
- Make 8-1/8lb balls of your mixture.
- Gently pack the meat around the shot glass, make sure it gets around the whole glass and has no punctures or breaks.
- Place on the grill, open side down.
- Evenly sear the meat around the glass then place them on the top rack of the grill for about 7 minutes.
