In the movie Zulu, the British was armed with a falling block rifle, called a Martini-Henry, in 45 calibre. They turned a massive force of Zulu Warriors with a small force of less than 200 Men! A truly amazing Effort! REAL MEN on both Sides, you should really watch it! The Grandson of the Zulu Chief, actually played his Grandfather in the Movie!
Here is the rifle that won the Empire for the British. Image from the IMA website below:
Here is an article on the Martini-Henry:

I purchased two Martini-Henry rifles, and I am trying to make one good rifle from the pair! I will buy 28 gauge brass shotgun hulls to make ammunition for this rifle. I will need to swage the brass down to 45 cal, then I can load my own casings. I intend to make at least 3 steel swaging dies to progressively form the brass. I will put them in a normal reloading press, to make the brass. I will try to purchase a set of commercial reloading dies for perfect final shape.
Here is where I got my rifles( I have no money interest in this company, I just like this rifle):

Now, for the fun part; These rifles are considered antique rifles, so if you order them, they can be delivered directly to your door. I intend to make mine work, just to give the old girl another lease on life! Besides, this is pure fun, you should all try it!
