As a huge history buff, I love this post. While my main interests lie in British history and early American history, I find ancient history to be fascinating, as well, and am quite familiar with the alternative histories suggested for both the Sphinx and Gobekli Tepe. I, too, believe there is ample evidence to suggest human civilization is much older than establishment academics believe. In fact, I think it's arrogant to believe we can know everything that happened thousands of years ago. Not all evidence is going to be preserved. We can only make educated guesses based on the evidence we DO have, and I think these two sites are strong examples that we have evidence of an extremely ancient history of human civilizations on this planet.
