Since when did Tangse's name appear, this question is often asked by many people. The answers are often diverse, the popular being Tangse from Tangsi or the military (Dutch). In contrast to the names of other areas that are more easily traced to the origin of the name, Tangse includes hard to trace the origin of this area and who first named it for this plateau.
Based on the true story of our parents' narrative, there is a growing history that Tangse existed before the Dutch stepped on its feet here, as evidenced by some of the Dutch-era photographs showing Tangse is a long-growing settlement.
Archaeological evidence before the Dutch has never been found, in Tangse has never seen Aceh tombstone as found in other coastal Pidie areas. Could this region be outside the power of the Kingdom of Pedir or Aceh? Tangse is an "independent" country that governs itself. I do not know I can not comment more.
In the Dutch period, Tangse became a resting place for Dutch officers in addition to being an important base in the attack on Teuku Umar, Cut Nyak Dhien and Mujahidin Tiro. Here there is a Dutch Pesanggrahan Complex complete with a storied swimming pool and Dutch soldier dormitory. Some of the remaining evidence, the rest like the Swimming Pool or known 'Kulam cafe "condition is very sad because around the 1990s have been stockpiled into rice fields.
