Experiencing high tide and low tide!
🌊🌊🌊

We reached the beach at around 14pm, the perfect time just after the big sun of noon!

Rheem just couldn't wait and hop...there she is in the sea with all her clothes on!
😂😂😂

Infact...she was right not to lose time... As in couple of hours, you will see how the sea became!

At that it was high tide, perfect to swim and enjoy the lagoon!

Nice warm and calm water.

While my daughter was enjoying the sea, I went around taking some pics!

Lovely beach and nice green space too...you can practice some football, volleyball or badminton in a beautiful setting!

And then...

At around 16pm...

Something crazy started to happen!!!

The sea started to recede so quickly...

In matter of minutes all water was gone!!!
😅😅😅

Oh yes...

We were experiencing NEAP TIDE that day!

    "Neap tides, occur twice a month, happen when the sun and moon are at right angles to each other. ... This means that high tides are a little higher and low tides are a little lower than average. These are called spring tides, term that has nothing to do with the season of spring."</p>

As I am someone having such a great passion for beach fishing...catching crabs, shrimps etc...

I went walking around...great experience indeed.

Caught some crabs, small fish and shrimps who were trapped with this sudden low tide!

At 17pm...

It was already time to go back home...

Luckily Rheem went in the water very early when we reached there...or else she would be so mad...
🤣🤣🤣

But overall a very nice experience + some learning points for us all.

Butte à L'herbe is definitely a beach to visit if you are visiting Mauritius.

Forget about this tide thing, the beach, the calmness, the greenery, the sky, the views will compensate everything!
