Hello everyone dear friends. 👋 It's been a long time since I've hung out with you my friends and posted the food I love to cook. Today I will share with you a recipe that is often prepared in Serbia. Christmas Lent is underway and I made a stewed rice with onions and carrots. This dish is usually prepared with the addition of usually chicken meat. But since the Christmas Lent is in progress, I made it with mushrooms.
Of the ingredients I used
2 heads of onion
2 carrots
150 g of chopped mushrooms
I took about the amount of rice that fit in 5 of my hands (I didn't measure the amount)
Add salt or vegetables to your taste Sunflower oil 1 dl
When I got all the ingredients I started preparing lunch. First, I cut the onion into small cubes.
Grate two carrots on a coarse grater
Pour 1 dl of oil into the pan and fry the onion and mushrooms
When the onion and mushrooms are stew, pour in the grated carrot and stew everything together until the carrot is soft.
When the vegetables are stewed, add 1 and a half tablespoons of vegeta and pour the rice into the mixture and stew for another 2 minutes.
Pour the stewed mixture into a pan and pour water to cover the rice.
Place the tray in the oven heated to 250°C and bake until the water boils.
When the crust is caught, the food is ready.
When you sit down to have lunch, you can have a salad with this food. I used coleslaw
