Una de las cosas que me enamoró de este país es la manera en que todos salen y se reunen para hablar mientras toman una cerveza y comen algo, eso incluye tambien que los pasapalos o los platos para picar son salados y ya venía un poco acostumbrada a que en mi país la mayoría eran dulces y chuches, o bueno, así lo hacía mi familia, pero eso no me molesta ya que siempre que se trate de comida me apunto JAJA.

El fin de semana luego del cumpleaños de mi novio, nos reunimos en casa de uno de sus amigos de infancia que también cumplió años y celebramos juntos ambos cumpleaños. Los padres de su amigo prepararon unas tablas con queso, jamón, aceitunas y otro tipo de embutidos para complementar la presentación. Me pareció super creativo, fantastico y delicioso que algo tan simple quede tan bien para cualquier tipo de reuniones.

Entre los diferentes tipos de queso, el que más me gustó fue el Provolone, no es tan usual tener tanta variedad de quesos en Venezuela y acá si que puedes degustar y escoger de entre un montón.
También a parte de los jamones, había huevitos hervidos y salchichas con una salsa casera que prepararon con mayonesa, tomate, mostaza y un poco de pimienta, estaba super rica.

Habían algunas frutas como uvas, y unos pocos postres de panadería para contrarestar el paladar de tanto salado.

One of the things that made me fall in love with this country is the way everyone hangs out and gets together to talk while having a beer and eating something, that also includes that the snacks or finger foods are salty and I was already a little used to that in my country most of them were sweets and candy, or well, that's how my family did it, but that doesn't bother me because whenever it's about food I'm in JAJA.

The weekend after my boyfriend's birthday, we got together at the house of one of his childhood friends who also had a birthday and celebrated both birthdays together. His friend's parents prepared some tables with cheese, ham, olives and other types of cold meats to complement the presentation. I found it super creative, fantastic and delicious that something so simple looks so good for any kind of gathering.

Among the different types of cheese, the one I liked the most was the Provolone, it is not so usual to have such a variety of cheeses in Venezuela and here you can taste and choose from a lot.
Besides the hams, there were boiled eggs and sausages with a homemade sauce that they prepared with mayonnaise, tomato, mustard and a little bit of pepper, it was super tasty.

There were some fruits like grapes, and a few bakery desserts to counteract the palate of so much salty food.
