How are you today? I hope you're doing well and great.. Today's cooking blog I'll share to you is one of my kids favorite --THE SWEET POTATO ROLLS . This tasty, crispy and sweet treat is a child- friendly snacks because of its nutritious and delicious fillings. It's just very simple because I'm using only very few ingredients.
So let's start making it, you will just need the following ingredients:
1/2 kg of camote(boiled and mashed )
1/4 kg of oil for deep frying
1 pack of lumpia wrapper
White and brown sugar
Here are the steps in making the sweet potato rolls
Prepare the sweet potatoes , I boiled it first, peeled it off and mashed it smoothly using fork or spoon.
After mashed it all, I added a little amount of brown sugar on it to add a little sweetness on the sweet potatoes.
So let's start shaping it into rolls
I prepared the wrappers, a small amount of water (for sealing) and some sweet potato fillings.
Placed 1 spoon of sweet potato filling in a wrapper and slowly formed it into logs. Roll it and sealed each side with water.
I've made a lot of sweet potatoe rolls and so kids are now excited to eat their crispy and tasty snacks this afternoon..So let's start cooking it now
I prepared the pan in a medium heat, and I started to place the oil once pan is heated. When oil boils, that's time I placed sweet potato rolls, flip it side by side to prevent the wrapper from burning.
Make sure it's already golden brown once you removed it from the oil.
And once it's golden brown, I placed it in a strainer and removed some excess oil in it and served it with the kids🙂
I sprinkled it with a little sugar on top of it.. Enjoy eating and served this with some drinks
