We all know that there are different types of grasses around us . We find some around our homes and some in the bush . Some are edible and some are not, some of them grow by themselves and some are planted by human beings . Some are used as medicine, some are eaten by animals .
I want to talk about one particular edible grass ,in our language, it is called ACHARA
It is mainly eaten by the people of Umuahia and ngwa in Abia State of Nigeria.
Let me take us to my Achara farm
These is my ACHARA farm
HOW IT IS GROWN
Cut the stem into log, open the ground and place the stem and cover it with sand as we plant cassava stem after 5 days it
germinates and starts growing.
In 3 weeks or 1 month time it is due for harvesting the owner now harvest them

HOW TO PREPARE IT
Peel the harvested ones, remove each Coast until you get to the soft part bring the soft part and cut them into pieces put them in a bowl wash and use them as vegetable for your delicious soup
Ready to be used for your delicious soup
