Saludos a todos los cuhivers de esta comunidad de cubanos. Como ya muchos saben, durante el próximo mes de octubre se celebrará en México el importante evento HiveFest donde tendremos el orgullo de tener a uno de los cuhivers más importantes de la comunidad cubana por su empeño y trabajo en la Blockchain y la constante ayuda que ofrece a cubanos en esta plataforma. Dicho representante es Hive account@manuphotos al que siempre agradeceremos por ser el creador de esta bonita comunidad.

Greetings to all the cuhivers of this community of Cubans. Leyendo algunos artículos hace unos días me topé con la sugerencia de Hive account@manuphotos donde Hive account@anomadsoul propone junto a grandes contribuyentes de Hive la posibilidad de la asistencia a dicho evento en donde Hive account@threespeak permitirá a 4 personas a asistir si sus propuestas son bien atractivas y enriquecedoras para el futuro de Hive. A pesar, de no poder asistir durante esas fechas tengo algunas visiones futuras de como Hive puede ayudar a otros sectores como el científico que es en el que más me destaco. Antes de proponer mis visiones, me gustaría responder algunas preguntas que sugiere Hive account@anomadsoul en su artículo.

Reading some articles a few days ago I came across the suggestion from Hive account@manuphotos where Hive account@anomadsoul proposes, together with large Hive contributors, the possibility of attending said event where Hive account@threespeak will allow 4 people to attend if their proposals are very attractive and enriching for the future of Hive. Despite not being able to attend during those dates, I have some future visions of how Hive can help other sectors such as science, which is where I stand out the most. Before proposing my visions, I would like to answer some questions that Hive account@anomadsoul suggests in his article.

¿Quién soy? ¿En cuál comunidad estoy? ¿Sobre qué contenido publico regularmente? / Who I am? What community am I in? What content do I regularly post about?

Soy Karel Mederos Perugorria, cubano y biólogo de profesión especialista en el cultivo y mejoramiento genético de plantas suculentas de la subtribu Stapeliinae de la familia Apocynaceae. Además, soy aficionado por la fotografía artística con más de 3 años de experiencia. Soy moderador y miembro fundador de la comunidad @HiveCuba y participo con frecuencia en comunidades enfocadas a las plantas y contenido fotográfico.

I am Karel Mederos Perugorria, Cuban and biologist by profession specialized in the cultivation and genetic improvement of succulent plants of the Stapeliinae subtribe of the Apocynaceae family. In addition, I am fond of artistic photography with more than 3 years of experience. I am a moderator and founding member of the @HiveCuba community and I frequently participate in communities focused on plants and photographic content.

¿Qué hago a diario para mejorar el ecosistema de la colmena? / What do I do daily to improve the ecosystem of the hive?

A pesar de no ser desarrollador ni nada similar, me esfuerzo en mantener a raya el spam o contenido inapropiado en la comunidad cubana como moderador. Además, de enriquecer el contenido de la plataforma con nuevos artículos que pueden ser de interés para los lectores.

Despite not being a developer or anything similar, I work hard to keep spam or inappropriate content in the Cuban community at bay as a moderator. In addition, to enrich the content of the platform with new articles that may be of interest to readers.

¿Qué iniciativas de alto impacto hacen de Hive un lugar ideal?/ What high-impact initiatives make Hive an ideal place?

El simple hecho de que no exista la censura en nuestros artículos es fundamental en esta plataforma. Además, se ha notado un público mucho más enfocado en mejorar la plataforma que no es común en este tipo de plataformas. Otro tema a destacar es el sinnúmero de iniciativas con el fin de ayudar a personas o pueblos durante momentos difíciles.

The simple fact that there is no censorship in our articles is essential on this platform. In addition, a much more focused public has been noticed on improving the platform that is not common in this type of platform. Another issue to highlight is the countless initiatives in order to help people or towns during difficult times.

¿Tienes planes para Hive en el futuro? / Do you have plans for Hive in the future?

Como tal un plan no lo considero, pero si veo una enorme oportunidad de que Hive colaborara con el mundo científico para promover el desarrollo en un futuro. La comunidad científica actual está sometida a enormes barreras burocráticas y restricciones en las propias revistas conocidas por la misma influencia tanto de la economía y la política. Crear ciencia es una de las maravillas de la inteligencia de la especie con el fin de mejorar nuestras vidas, pero si está sometida a tantos obstáculos, es muy difícil avanzar. Hive podría incentivar el desarrollo de espacios científicos más profesionales e incentivar a científicos a obtener resultados científicos. Dicho aspecto es también una barrera actual en la ciencia, muchos científicos no son recompensados como deberían con su esfuerzo de años.

I don't consider it a plan as such, but I do see a huge opportunity for Hive to collaborate with the scientific world to promote development in the future. The current scientific community is subjected to enormous bureaucratic barriers and restrictions in the journals themselves known for the same influence of both economics and politics. Creating science is one of the wonders of the intelligence of the species in order to improve our lives, but if it is subjected to so many obstacles, it is very difficult to advance. Hive could encourage the development of more professional scientific spaces and encourage scientists to obtain scientific results. This aspect is also a current barrier in science, many scientists are not rewarded as they should with their years of effort.
