Hola comunidad nuestra. Hace bastante que no publico por aquí. Les traigo una historia que no puede tener mejor lugar para ser compartida.
Cuando mi hija tenía 3 años y medio disfrutamos de un concierto que la cantautora Liuba María Hevia ofreció en la Plaza de la Catedral de la Habana.
Esta compositora e intérprete es una de las voces más relevantes del panorama musical cubano y goza además de un sólido prestigio internacional.
La parte de su carrera dedicada a la canción infantil es de lo mejor de nuestra cancionística dedicada a ese público.
En el año 2021, su disco Travesía Mágica celebró 20 años. Cómo homenaje, ella se propuso hacer videoclips a alguno de los temas de ese fonograma.
En septiembre de 2020 se realizó en Cuba un concurso en honor a otro gran artista, Juan Padrón. Organizado por los Estudios de Animación del ICAIC.
En ese certamen, mi hija, con su obra "Refuerzos", ganó el Gran Premio de Jurado. Meses después, Liuba se acercó a los Estudios de Animación con un viejo anhelo: encontrar un niño o niña que fuera capaz de hacer un clip para algún tema suyo.
El nombre y la obra ganadora de Olivia, salieron a relucir. Fue mostrada a la cantante y su equipo. Después de esto y contado en pocas palabras, llegó a manos de mi hija su primer trabajo por encargo. Por supuesto, al ser una menor de edad hubo que firmar las autorizaciones correspondiente y el contrato de representación.
Era la primera vez que en nuestro país se firmaba un contrato para este tipo de obra encargada a una menor de edad.
¿Quién le iba a decir a aquella pequeña niña, que veía y escuchaba de lejos en la plaza de la Catedral a esa reconocidísima cantante, que a la edad de 13 años haría un videoclip para uno de sus temas?
En tan solo 3 meses el video estaba listo. Fue durante la pandemia, el tiempo de encierro sirvió perfectamente para tal propósito. El aprendizaje y crecimiento personal de mi hija fue invaluable y el resultado...todo una belleza.
El vídeoclip "Amanecer de la flor", guión, dirección, edición y animación de Olivia Solano Rodríguez, obtuvo 2 nominaciones a los Premios Lucas, el evento más importante del videoclip cubano.
Después de ese, vino otro, "Adivina quién será". Igualmente hermoso y técnicamente superior. También resultó nominado en 1 categoría en los mismos premios.
Dos videoclips, 3 nominaciones: Mejor Ópera Prima, Mejor Animación y Mejor Video Música para Niños.
Actualmente se encuentra haciendo un tercer clip. Este le ha llevado un poco más de tiempo. Ya no estamos en pandemia, ni recluídos. El tiempo del que dispone no es el mismo porque las responsabilidades escolares son cada día mayores.
Casi está terminando y quien sabe si para la próxima edición de los Lucas este también está entre los seleccionados.
Solo espero que mi hija siga disfrutando lo que hace. Que la vida la lleve por caminos felices y que su talento crezca y se consolide.

In only 3 months the video was ready. It was during the pandemic, the time of confinement served perfectly for that purpose. The learning and personal growth of my daughter was invaluable and the result...all a beauty.
The videoclip "Amanecer de la flor", scripted, directed, edited and animated by Olivia Solano Rodríguez, obtained 2 nominations to the Lucas Awards, the most important event of the Cuban videoclip.

He is currently making a third clip. This one has taken a little longer. We are no longer in a pandemic, nor in seclusion. The time she has is not the same because school responsibilities are increasing every day.

I only hope that my daughter continues to enjoy what she does. May life take her on happy paths and may her talent grow and consolidate.
