Este significó un reconocimiento por los resultados alcanzados en nuestra institución y por la importancia estratégica para el desarrollo económico y social del país que tiene nuestro instituto.

En esta publicación el autor se referirá al intercambio sostenido por los jóvenes con los directivos de nuestro centro, especialistas de alto prestigio e investigadores destacados. De igual manera referirá otros elementos importantes en torno a esta vista que tuvo un impacto positivo en los jóvenes investigadores.

Los jóvenes que nos visitaron pertenecen al Ministerio de Energía y Minas. Este ministerio tiene una importancia capital para el país porque se encarga de implementar los objetivos que tienen que ver con las energías renovables, petróleo y gas natural, minerales como níquel, cobalto, oro, plata, cobre, hierro; estudios marinos, Política Minera y la Geología.

Por tal razón estuvieron con nosotros jóvenes del Centro de Investigación del Petróleo, Centro para la Investigación Minero Metalúrgica, Geocuba Estudios Marinos, Oficina Nacional de Recursos Minerales, Geocuba, Laboratorio Central de Recursos Minerales, Geominsal, Cupet.
En el intercambio participaron profesores de diferentes universidades del país y el Consejo de Dirección del Instituto de Geología y Paleontología, Servicio Geológico de Cuba. De igual manera estuvieron dos jóvenes investigadoras de nuestro centro y todos estuvieron acompañados por especialistas de la dirección del ministerio.

El objetivo esencial de estos intercambios es preparar a estos jóvenes quienes en un futuro cercano deberán desempeñar las labores de dirección de estas empresas y llevar a vías de hechos los proyectos y objetivos del Ministerio de Energía y Minas.
Variadas fueron las actividades que como parte de la agenda de trabajo realizaron estos jóvenes. Entre las más importantes podemos señalar:

•Visualización de nuestro video institucional
•Recorrido por las principales áreas del centro en las que recibieron explicaciones sobre nuestras misiones
•Recibieron una conferencia por la Dra. C. Xiomara Cazaña Díaz, sobre las investigaciones geológicas que se realizan en nuestro centro y su importancia para el desarrollo socioeconómico del país.
•Intercambio con investigadores de las diferentes áreas del instituto, para conocer nuestros objetivos y proyecciones fundamentales.
• Estuvieron en el Paseo de las Rocas, en el que conocieron sobre la importancia de estas y sus utilidades
•Visitaron el Museo Mario Sánchez Roig, en el que conocieron aspectos importantes, sobre el surgimiento, evolución y desarrollo de nuestro país. También recibieron una explicación sobre los diferentes restos fósiles que están en el museo y sobre la amplia y variada colección de ammonites que tiene el lugar que es considerada la más completa de Cuba.

En el intercambio final los jóvenes agradecieron que el encuentro inicial fuese en nuestro centro por la importancia que tiene y por lo mucho que aprendieron. Varios se acercaron y nos pidieron poder realizar una visita al museo, para poder aprender con más calma los diferentes elementos que sobre nuestra historia geológica les interesa saber.

Our center was chosen to begin the preparation of a group of young people with potential to occupy management positions in research centers, state entities and companies within the Ministry of Energy and Mines of the Republic of Cuba.

The young people who visited us belong to the Ministry of Energy and Mines. This ministry is of capital importance for the country because it is in charge of implementing the objectives related to renewable energies, oil and natural gas, minerals such as nickel, cobalt, gold, silver, copper, iron, marine studies, mining policy and geology.

For this reason, young people from the Petroleum Research Center, Center for Mining and Metallurgical Research, Geocuba Marine Studies, National Office of Mineral Resources, Geocuba, Central Laboratory of Mineral Resources, Geominsal, Cupet were with us.

Professors from different universities of the country and the Board of Directors of the Institute of Geology and Paleontology, Geological Service of Cuba participated in the exchange. Two young researchers from our center were also present and all of them were accompanied by specialists from the ministry's management.
The main objective of these exchanges is to prepare these young people who in the near future will have to perform management tasks in these companies and carry out the projects and objectives of the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
These young people carried out several activities as part of their work agenda. Among the most important ones we can point out:

- Viewing of our institutional video
- Tour of the main areas of the center where they received explanations about our missions.
- They received a lecture by Dr. C. Xiomara Cazaña Díaz, about the geological research carried out in our center and its importance for the socioeconomic development of the country.
- Exchange with researchers from different areas of the institute, to learn about our objectives and fundamental projections.
- They visited the Paseo de las Rocas, where they learned about the importance of rocks and their uses.
- They visited the Mario Sánchez Roig Museum, where they learned about important aspects of the emergence, evolution and development of our country. They also received an explanation about the different fossil remains that are in the museum and about the wide and varied collection of ammonites that the place has, which is considered the most complete in Cuba.

In the final exchange, the young people were grateful that the initial meeting was in our center because of its importance and because of how much they learned. Several of them approached us and asked to visit the museum to learn more calmly about the different elements of our geological history that they are interested in knowing.
