Argiope trifasciata is commonly known as the banded orb weaving spider of the genus Argiope belonging to the family Araneidae.
Argiope trifasciata (the banded garden spider or banded orb weaving spider) is a species of spider native to North and South America, but now found around the world.
I am a little confused reading the description from the Wikipedia article, it is referred to as a species of spider native to North and South America. In fact, they are also found in Southeast Asia, is it possible that their ancestors migrated too far from America to Asia?
All that is possible and I don't have to go too far into it, for that is the work of entomologists who research the existence of their origins.
Here I just want to show the image I captured using my mobile camera.
