It's great that I recently found some damselfly with a new species. In addition to adding to my insect collection, it also increases knowledge about animal diversity.
This is a jewel damselfly I found near a rocky river in the local forest. I think it's related to Rhinocypha, a genus of damselflies belonging to family Chlorocyphidae.
It is slightly larger than the usual damselfly which is slimmer and smaller. Dark brown and green compound eyes, orange nose, yellow thorax with black stripes, orange belly with a yellow base, transparent brown wings with black markings.
