The Branded Swift (Pelopidas)

It was an aggressive little butterfly, had short wings but was very fast flying, dashed like an arrow.

Pelopidas, or commonly known as branded swift or millet skipper, is a genus of skipper butterflies belonging to the Hesperiidae family (First described by Francis Walker, 1870).

Its body is hairy and entirely brown with white spots on the four wings. The head is larger than the rest of the body with compound eyes that are also large and protruding. it is often found in bushes or grass.
