Good morning my dear hive friends. For todays Post I decided to share with you some of my summer pictures.
As you are know Here in Ireland winter aren't that cold but cold enough for most of the insects are hidden.. So to resolve that problem I'm taking pictures from spring to autumn and collecting them on my hard drive for further editing.. So I have whole year to edit and play around with those pictures.
First 2 pics are green bottle fly. They mostly feed on dead animals. But I got few pics of them feeding on old apple leftover
Second two images are blue blowflies. Did you know that they are used in forensic purposes to determine the time of death... They appear on a body after 2 days and lay their eggs im dead body... 🙈🙈 Awful to hear but.. Thats life
This one is house fly. Biggest infection carrier..
Same blowflie on window drinking water
Last two images are parasite wasp. They lay eggs in another insect, they feed on polen and some nectar.. How interesting is that.. Before few years we couldn't see them in Ireland.. Now they are all over the place
I hope you enjoyed in those pictures.. Its definitely good to know little bit about every insect that is around us. I can't wait for the summer for more amazing findings. And what about you. What are your favourite insects
