SUMMER. MORNING AND BUMMER ON A TURKISH CARNATION FLOWER
Summer, June. Photo from the series - Macro photography. Life in the countryside outside the city and my garden. A short photo report of five photos of how the bumblebee works from the very early morning. A bumblebee often comes to our garden to drink nectar in the morning on a Turkish carnation flower. He is a very good gardener - he pollinates flowers all day from sunrise to sunset. Bumblebees are one of the most cold-resistant insects. They are able, by quickly and often contracting their chest muscles, to accelerate their body up to the required +40 C. This allows them to fly out early in the morning and collect the first nectar when the air has not yet warmed up enough, and gives bumblebees a certain competitive advantage over other insect species - especially bees ... It helps the bumblebee to warm up with its "wool" (shaggy bumblebee) - it reduces heat loss by half.
