I don't normally get fancy visitors on my balcony. And by fancy I mean pretty butterflies, bees or bumblebees. Living on the second floor and having the plants hidden behind shading fence does the job. Very rarely I see some lost soul looking for food or a place to rest.
Today I saw this little butterfly flying away from a succulent pot as I was watering them and moving around.
Watering can wait. It is camera time!
Obviously this little cutie didn't come to eat. I have some flowers blooming around, but he wasn't much interested in those. Just some lightly shaded leaves.
He stayed on the yellow Pelargonia leaf for a bit. This one was his favourite. He was taking off, make little round around the plant and he kept landing on that same leaf.
Is it because the edges of his little winds resemble the edge of the yellow leaf?
Or maybe it's the smell he likes..
Then hopped to a Hibiscus one..
And lastly as he was leaving he stopped by a Kalanchoe flowers...
Looked around.. and flew away.
All that lasted maybe 10 min and I could get back to my watering.
Cute fella :)
