Ilex hairstreak
Satyrium ilicis
The butterfly is a rarity and the proof is extremely complicated. It is difficult to distinguish it from the sloe hairstreak butterfly (Satyrium acaciae). I must have photographed over one hundred Satyrium acaciae until I finally found an Ilex hairstreak. After each photo I checked the picture on the display of my camera. The small difference can only be distinguished by the course of the white line on the underside of the wing.
