Hola amantes de los insectos! ¿Qué es pequeño, rojo y tiene lindos lunares negros? Pues la mariquita. Las mariquitas son insectos muy populares y le gustan a todos, en especial a los niños.

Viví la mayor parte de mi infancia en Grecia (país de origen de mis padres) y durante la primavera y el verano, las mariquitas andaban por todas partes, en los jardines de mi edificio, de mi escuela, en el balcón de mi casa, en los patios de las casas, en los sembradíos de mi abuela, etc. Nos gustaba agarrarlas y ver como caminaban sobre nuestras manos, dedos y sobre nuestra ropa.

Las mariquitas que he visto son las rojas de lunares negros y las que son totalmente rojas o anaranjadas pero esta que encontré sobre mi planta de romero nunca la había visto antes, aunque no es de extrañar porque existen más de 6000 especies de Coccinélidos (Coccinellidae), que es la familia a la que pertenecen las mariquitas, y las hay tanto de lunares como de rayas y en muchos colores, amarillo, azul, marrón, blanco, etc.

La verdad es que no encontré el nombre de esta especie en particular, la que más se le parece es la Coccinella transversalis o mariquita transversal aunque esta no habita en suramérica sino en el continente asiático y en Australia así que no se si fue que esta se vino desde allá jajaja 🤔.

The truth is that I didn't find the name of this particular species, the one that most resembles it's the Coccinella transversalis or transversal ladybug, although it doesn't live in South America but in the Asian continent and in Australia, so I don't know if she came from there hahaha 🤔.
