Hello insect lovers everywhere π
In this post, I will share my photography results and a little knowledge about one type of White-Snouted Beetle.
Curculionidae, commonly known as snout beetles or true snout beetles, is the largest family in the superfamily Curculionoidea (Order Coleoptera) and one of the most diverse animal families on Earth. This family contains a large number of described species and is distributed worldwide, inhabiting almost all terrestrial ecosystems, with exceptional diversity in tropical regions.
Snout beetles (family Curculionidae), or commonly called weevils, play a major role in plant population dynamics and nutrient cycling. Economically, many species are crucial as pests of agriculture, forestry, and stored products, capable of causing severe crop losses and ecological damage.
