It all starting so innocently. Just a small amount of Neonates - baby Black Soldier Fly larvae -
very, very, tiny, at only a few millimeters long.
I placed them in a little blue dish.
I placed the little blue dish into my little insect observation box.
A box gifted me from an external auditor who had excess Stick Insects and wanted me to have some.
The initial meal was a mix of wheat cereal, rice, chicken, and water.
I set up an old mobile phone with timelapse to record what happens.
It soon became evident that the little blue bowl was not going to be big enough to hold them for long.
It was then that I decided to use the entire observation box for them to live within.
