Snail is a common name given to members of the Gastropod mollusk class. Snails can be found in a variety of different environments: from trenches to deserts, even to very deep seas. Most snail species are marine animals. Many also live on land, fresh water, even brackish water.
Not only that, even snails can climb trees with their bodies, because the snail's body system can stick to an object, such as grass and trees. Snails are generally soft fleshy animals wrapped in shells.
