Hi Hive Lovers
You will find them if you open your eyes a little wider.
Caterpillars are one of the weaker animals because their body texture is soft. They can, however, generally blend in with their surroundings. They disguise themselves.
Their camouflage is good, and it will make them able to survive their predators. In addition to camouflage, their defense system is their bright color and poisonous feathers.
These caterpillars are always unique; every time I meet them, I always pay more attention to them, including these 2 black caterpillars.
The first caterpillar is a beautiful black caterpillar that has a regular round pattern of red and yellow all over its body, the round pattern extending from the head to the tail. But I don't really know which part to call the head. the part that has the antenna, or vice versa.
This first caterpillar did not move at all when I touched a leaf where it settled. Any movement that occurred would render him motionless; he was completely motionless.
I'm not sure if he can see me or if they have motion sensors on his body parts. I waited almost a minute to see him move, but he didn't move at all. Since he wasn't moving at all, I couldn't tell where his head was.
The second caterpillar is also a beautiful black caterpillar that has a red color at the base of each leg and has blue spots encircling the segments of its body.
This second caterpillar has very different properties from the first; it is very active and cannot stop at all. The head continues to twist and turn, looking for a new place to climb.
For some people, all caterpillars are animals they should avoid. I suspect it is because of their body shape and the fear that they will injure someone's body parts if touched.
The concern of some people is understandable, especially for caterpillars that have poisonous hairs on their bodies.
But are all caterpillar hairs poisonous? The answer should be yes. Everyone will complain of itching, which can turn into sores if scratched repeatedly on the part of a person's skin exposed to caterpillar hairs, such as the second caterpillar.
That doesn't apply to caterpillars that don't have hair, like the first beautiful caterpillar. You can touch it directly and only feel the softness that you feel.
The bright colors on a hairless caterpillar are only a warning. It won't make your skin itchy if you touch it. But you definitely won't touch the second type of caterpillar, right?
The bright colors on the hairy caterpillars are really a stern warning to you. Their bristles are really toxic and will irritate your skin. It's normal for everyone to stay away from them.
Then why is everyone avoiding all those caterpillars? I think it's just a matter of perception and a risk mitigation that someone does to anticipate unwanted things if they meet the caterpillars.
People have the perception that all caterpillars (whether they have hair or not) are very cute animals and that they should avoid them. But everyone will try to touch all kinds of butterflies, even though they are all caterpillars that they have previously avoided.
How about you?
