Greetings dear Hiveans and members of the #fascinatinginsects community. After a short while, Iam back with another article about an insect, quite commonly found in our state.

As part of our daily routine, me and my son were having a short walk inside our garden, after ourq3 dinner. Suddenly, to our surprise, we saw something big, an insecr in short, moving slowly through the interlock of the front part facing the gate. It was quite big.

Curious to know what exactly is this ??
It is called a type of Beetle, which destroys the coconut trees. It is one of the most dangerous one because it can destroy a tall coconut tree in a week's time. Such is its strength. When googled I saw its name as coxonut rhinoceros beetle
In my state it is called as Chelli. One of the worst pest for coconut growers. Its skin is so hard and blackin colour.
This is called Beetle. A big black one, around 3 cms in length with 2 horns
The cat, our pet, who usually jumps around while we walk, stopped his action on seeing this huge insect. He was so happy and excited because each time he neared it, it was moving away from him.
For quite some time he was patient observing this Beetle, then slowly he startes using his hand to either push it away from him or drag it near him.
At one point of time, he made sure to guard him by not letting the Beetle to move either towards the left or the right or towards the front or the back. And he also tried hitting him hard with his hand.
Wishing all of you great day ahead.
