Hello Guys... How are you today?
Haven't seen him in a long time, whether he migrated to another location or indeed he was just born in a few days so he wasn't seen for a few months.
As far as I remember he hadn't been seen in the last few months on a kaffir lime plant growing on the banks of this river. In the last few months, my has visited this location very often, but what he saw was only other insect species such as butterflies and bees and several other nuisance insect species.
My luck this time met him and I was very amazed at him for all the behavior that was issued by him. One of the things I like about him is that he has several well-known names in our society.
These names are very close to our society so that it is one of the insect species that is very much liked by the people here, especially for children who use it as a game tool in the form of a unique and amazing object of direction interrogation.
In this case, I personally have collected names for those who are already known by our community here, of course these names are named in the form of non-verbal language or our own regional language. The names that have been collected are as follows:
| Ordinal | Mention | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Acehnese Mantis | Aceh grasshoppers, as they are called |
| 2 | Chinese Mantis | Centadu is from the Chinese region |
| 3 | Para Centadu | Mantis who likes the location of someone's house pole |
| 4 | Aceh Bineeh Pasie | Beachside grasshopper |
| 5 | Aceh kayee | The name for the Pusong coastal community area |
And there are many other names that are often said by the people here and also the children.
But experts have combined perception in recognizing them and have become well known among entomologists, so that they are also discussed in biology textbooks or 9th grade teacher handbooks, while the results of these conclusions have been perfectly written in books to recognize them, Well, to get to, or to get to know them better, I've quoted some descriptions from the book and I'm rewriting them here, here's the explanation:
| Scientific | Classification |
|---|---|
| Type | T Sinesis |
| Family | Tenodera |
| Kingdom | Animals |
| Division | Arthropoda |
| Class | Insects |
| Ordo | mantodea |
| Subfamily | Tenoderinae |
| Tribe | Tenoderini |
| source scientific | 9th grade biology teacher handbook |
And there are many other terms that I did not include in the list, this refers to a well-known opinion in insect research.
From my point of view, the behavior of this mantis is almost equal to that of other types of mantis, if any, but a little. Like other centadu which have unique properties such as:
- How to breed
- How to adapt to the environment
- Favorite food
- Favorite nest area
- Body posture
- and, some other interesting things that come from the grasshopper itself.
Their presence in a location that can be reached by children is a location that is not safe for their survival, because they are often hunted and used as game material or as a directing object for children, even though aiming and sometimes miss the target, this is something that very cool for kids to do or play with.
And sometimes children do things that can harm their bodies like tie them in the middle and then release them into the air, when they fly and the connecting thread runs out they will fall, this is done for hours until the children are satisfied, if someone adults see it they will forbid it and released back into the nest. This is also what makes him rarely present in our midst because it makes him die or get sick.
This summer they are seen again in an area out of reach of children, they spend their time in a kaffir lime plant that grows and thrives on the shores of the sea or far away from human activities.
Before he flew and ran from in front of me, I took some beautiful pictures, the conditions matched the colors in the photo, and I think it fits perfectly with the photography frame or for those of you photography lovers.
In addition to the image below, you have also seen some of the images placed above. I hopefully you will like my activities today, on this beautiful holiday.
Here are some of the remaining images:
After taking some pictures, this mantis flew towards another tree, and I couldn't detect it anymore, thank you.
