I hope you enjoy these pictures of one of my Psalmopeus irminia slings. It just reached its second moult and will hopefully proceed to become a not-so-small midnight black adult, with vibrant orange stripes and accents.
But until then it's just going to look quite adorable. See for yourselfs:
Commonly also known as the Venezuelan suntiger it is quite clear where this tarantula comes from.
Apart from Venezuela you can also find this spider in the trees of Guyana and Brazil.
For keepers it is quite nice to know, that this spider does not posess any urticating hairs. So cleaning their enclosures is not so much of a struggle.
As i have quite a few of these little guys they are still sharing their enclosures in pairs of 3-5. In such a case it's quite important to keep them fed and happy, so that they don't have to take out their frustation on their (potentially) smaller siblings.
