This year was my first exploring the world of macro photography, and I have fallen in love. A world of detail, hidden by the limitations of my human eyes, has been revealed to me. While I have much more to explore, I have found few subjects more interesting than insects.
What has intrigued me most about these subjects has been the delicate intricacies of their miniature forms. Under the view of a macro lens, the finer details of scales, wings, and eyes come into clear view, bringing a complexity and beauty to these creatures that I did not truly appreciate prior to exploring this form of photography.
It has been a pleasure to better acquaint myself with this branch of life over the last year, with the following being some of my favorite insect photos for the year of 2025. I hope you enjoy!
