It pains me greatly to write this post because I wish the Titans were in this game, but that's in the past now.
Now it's time for the AFC Championship Game and this should be an intense one. The winner grants themselves a ticket to play in Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles on February 13th in SoFi Stadium. This is the fourth consecutive AFC Title Game appearance for the Chiefs, they've won it two years in a row and now they're trying to make it a third. The Bengals on the other hand haven't been in a position like this since the 1988-89 season! Some Bengals fans have waited through three FULL decades for their team to be this far in the playoffs. As mad as I am at the Bengals, you gotta respect that a little... at least for one season LOL. Some Bengals fans have never seen their team this far ever. Home Alone wasn't even a thing yet man!!! I wasn't even a thing!!!
Top US Song the Last Time the Bengals Played in an AFC Title Game - 'Every Rose Has it's Thorn' By the band Poison
Other websites claim Bobby Brown's My Prerogative was the top song during that time. Two songs, why not LOL. Either way these two songs were obviously hits last time the Bengals played in a title game!
Top US Movie in Theaters the Last Time the Bengals Played in the AFC Title Game - 'Rain Man' starring Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise
That is insanely trippy man!!!
Both teams are coming off playing extremely close games in the Divisional Rounds last week, and so it will be interesting to see which team can recover better. The Chiefs had a pretty wild OT game last week against the Bills so if they are more fatigued than the Bengals, at least they will be at home in Kansas City for the added boost from their crowd.
Both teams have got really great quarterbacks and obviously battle tested teams. They actually played each other in 2022 already and the Bengals won that game by a hair 34-31. It was an insane shootout and hopefully this game is more of the same. That game was in Cincinnati so the Bengals won't have their crowd on their side this time around.
Joe Burrow and the Bengals are gamers, very competitive and totally deserving to be here. But I just believe that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are fired up from that insane win against the Bills. I think that this team is as hungry as ever and that their home crowd will benefit greatly. I think the Chiefs gets it done and go to the Super Bowl AGAIN.
Joe and those Bengals are coming in hungry too though and perhaps they can become seriously legendary by pulling off this win. They are capable of beating them, and well they proved it earlier this month.
My saltiness at the Titans fat L, is still there but after writing a bit of this preview, I am really pretty pumped for this game. I love football, it is what it is. This game could be a classic. As much as Josh Allen and Pat Mahomes could be rivals, Joe Burrow is here now. He is young too and primed to make his mark.
I'm picking the Chiefs but man, I'll say this is a spooky game for both teams. I'm intrigued. This is going to be historical.
Will either defenses show up? That may be the big difference. With a lot of these high flying offenses it's like these defenses don't exist. Maybe one of these defenses are due.
It would be hilarious if one of these teams just got blown out LOL. I wonder if anyone would see that coming.
Let me know what you think of this game, it will be interesting no matter the result.
