NFL Football is officially back, and I couldn't be happier! To kick off this season, the Buffalo Bills will be traveling out to the west coast to face the defending champions in the Los Angeles Rams! What a fantastic matchup between two elite teams!
In an alternate universe, this matchup might easily be a re-match of last year's Super Bowl! The Bills were eliminated in the Divisional Round by the Chiefs last season, but it was not at all for a lack of trying. That Bills-Chiefs game was not just one of the greatest playoff games of all time, but it might have easily been one of the best football games of all time, period.
Funny enough, while I am talking about what could have been last season, this early September matchup might be a preview of what is to come this February....
Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has had some injury question marks this off-season, but it seems that he will be good to go for this week one matchup.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen is a major MVP favorite.
Both teams have top receivers in Cooper Kupp for the Rams and Stefon Diggs for the Bills. It will be fascinating to see which receiver is more effective. Kupp has to face an elite defense in the Bills while Stefon has to face the top corner in the NFL in Jalen Ramsey.
Another interesting aspect of this game to point out is seeing superstar edge rusher Von Miller return to play his former team in the Rams right off rip in week one. While Von wasn't on the team too long, he still made a huge impact and won a Super Bowl with the Rams!
Speaking of defensive players, it's always a treat to see the Rams' superstar defensive lineman Aaron Donald do work and just wreck defenses.
This game is for sure an absolute banger, and it's a toss up when it comes to trying to predict a winner. But I think the Bills are a tad hungrier and maybe a tad more physical.
I got the Bills winning this one, 24-17.
Leave those predictions below! I am soooooo ready for football, just writing this one out is giving me goosebumps!!
