Josh Allen is undeniably one of the best quarterbacks the NFL has seen in the past 10 years.
While Allen is often a competitor against my Titans, I have absolute respect for his game on the field.
Allen was the #7 overall pick of the Bills in 2018 and I am not going to lie, I had never really heard of the dude. He went to the University of Wyoming and I mean, who the heck comes out of that college?
After a decent rookie season, Josh Allen came into his own in 2019 and led the Bills into the playoffs. But that was really just the beginning for Allen.
In year three and four Allen seriously leveled up and established himself and the Bills as a serious force with clear Championship potential. Year five was not a tremendous improvement for Allen, but it was another great season and just as good as his other elite seasons.
Josh Allen is a modern, and probably superior version of Steve McNair and Ben Roethlisberger. Allen is a very big dude, with a super strong arm. He's very good in the pocket and is also lethal with his legs. A very physical runner. Allen averages 617 rushing yards a season through his first five years in the league and has run for 760+ in the last two.
I am not a huge fan of my QB being a truck on the field, but so far Allen has stayed mostly healthy, and he is quite big so not every hit seems too brutal. He does need to be careful though.
Since becoming a full time starter in 2019, Allen has led the Bills to four straight winning seasons, four straight double digit win totals, three straight division titles and four straight playoff appearances.
Allen has been a Second-Team All-Pro, a two time Pro Bowler, and has placed top three in MVP voting twice.
The guy is simply a top notch QB and a winner. The question now is, can he take the Bills over the top in an insane era of great QBs? I think he can, it's just a matter of how bad he wants it. He's only 27, I think he could get his hands on a ring one of these years. If he does, he'll be a Buffalo legend forever.
I mean, he already might be.
