Jalen Hurts is a strong #8 in my opinion. This man's improvement throughout his first three seasons has been nothing short of sensational. He began as a backup to Carson Wentz, slowly earned his way to QB1, had an average 2021, and last season the Eagles were crazy dominant as Jalen led the Eagles to a near Super Bowl victory.
Normally I am hesitant about scrambling/running quarterbacks, but for some reason I feel a little differently when it comes to Hurts. I guess making it to the Super Bowl changes one's mind LOL.
But also, I believe Hurts has decent size and a durable build to withstand hits, and I've noticed he does a fairly nice job at protecting himself as he falls or is hit. He has good instincts in that regard.
I also am a believer in Jalen's work ethic and overall attitude and leadership skills. He is a notorious gym rat and seems well-spoken and like a strong leader in interviews. He dealt with a lot of adversity in college and then in the pros, now he's an NFC Champ, and nearly Super Bowl Champ. He was a serious MVP candidate as well.
The man is only in his third NFL season, but he's been in the spotlight a long time and has seen a lot of high level football. He's got a great story.

Also, despite Hurts being a scrambler, I believe in his pure passing ability. I think it's already better than people believe it to be and in time he will only get better. He has a nice throwing motion and a good arm in general.
In 2022, Hurts had 35 total touchdowns and nearly 4,500 total yards. He also only had 6 interceptions with a strong quarterback rating of 101.5.
Despite all the success and signing a massive contract this off-season, I don't feel too worried about Jalen getting lazy or unmotivated. Also, the Eagles had a really good draft so they aren't about to be devoid of talent anytime soon. The Eagles look like the team to beat in the NFC.
