Lamar Jackson manages to slide into the #7 spot.
I have had my doubts about Lamar, but when Lamar is healthy and focused he is a scary quarterback to face.
Lamar is the best scrambling QB the league has seen since Michael Vick. I'm not sure he's quite as good or better than Vick was YET, but he's making a good case and absolutely could surpass him. Lamar has serious speed and tremendous vision on the field.
Lamar has had issues staying on the field the past two seasons due to injury. While it's pretty bad I thought it was worse. He played in 12 games the past two seasons. Even though it's slightly better than I thought it was, it still has to improve.
Nevertheless, Lamar's prior three seasons before these last two, were outstanding. He had a very promising 2018 rookie season, helping lead the Ravens to the playoffs after a strong second half of the season.
In year two the man became an absolute superstar, winning league MVP, and leading the Ravens to the #1 AFC seed after dominating all season long.
In year three, he once again led the Ravens to the playoffs after a strong season and won his first playoff game.
Lamar is a tremendous player and has won a ton of games. He has a superb 45-16 record as a starter. The question now is can he stay healthy and can he win in the playoffs? He also needs to be a better pure pocket passer. He's improved slowly in that department over the years but he needs to take that big step.
The Ravens just signed a legit wideout in Odell Beckham Jr. which should be helpful. Ravens fans have often complained of the lack of weapons provided to Lamar.
Lamar and the Ravens are always a tough squad, it will be an interesting season for them, perhaps they're being slept on a little.
