Saquon's health does concern me a bit in general, but a healthy Saquon is a hard back for anyone to handle, as my Titans found out in Week 1 last season. He's just a super elite athlete, like a thicker Reggie Bush on the field.
Saquon had a monster rookie year in 2018 as he ran for over 2,000 yards from scrimmage and had 15 total touchdowns. He also had a really impressive 91 receptions. Saquon had a solid second season before getting hit with the injury bug in 2020 and 2021.
2022 was Barkley's first fully healthy season since 2019 and he looked a lot like his former self. He had 1,650 yards from scrimmage and 10 rushing touchdowns. He was a big reason the Giants made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and had their first playoff win since 2011!
Even with having injury issues, Barkley has had three 1,000 rushing yard seasons and 2 Pro Bowls to his name. He's 26 and ticked that the Giants couldn't find a way to pay him.
I'm optimistic that he stays healthy and has another good season and gets paid well next year. The Giants need him BIG time since there's not really too many weapons on the Giants in general.
