It's really just been a privilege to watch Mike Evans perform over the last decade. This guy is literally one of the most consistent NFL players ever because he holds the NFL record for the most consecutive 1,000 yard seasons to start an NFL career.
Two of those seasons he barely achieved the 1,000 yard mark, this is true, but honestly I really don't care. To even be in position to be close to 1,000 yards for nearly a decade is undeniably great.
Also, if you count college, Mike Evans has eclipsed the 1,000 receiving yard mark ELEVEN seasons in a row! I mean the guy is a legend!
Mike Evans is sort of your typical big body receiver. Outstanding ability to catch bombs and create chunk plays.
His longevity speaks for itself. He's never played in less than 13 games during his career. In addition to his streak and longevity, Evans averages 76 receptions and 9 touchdown receptions per season.
Despite all of this, I still feel like he's underrated. Likely because until Brady arrived a few years ago, the Bucs have kind of stunk in most seasons during Evans time with the Bucs.
Evans is undeniably a great and a Bucs LEGEND. Evans has 4x Pro Bowls, 1x Second-Team All-Pro, and is a Super Bowl Champion.
Evans turns 30 in about two weeks, and he's already 30th All-Time in touchdown receptions with 81, and 45th in receiving yards with 10,425. He's also 12th All-Time in receiving yards a game with 76.2, but I guess that is subject to change a bit.
Man, what a beast. Whoever drafted this guy for the Bucs, has to be thanked by Bucs nation forever.
Even with everything Evans has accomplished, I imagine he'll continue to be great for awhile still.
Not gonna lie I haven't watched this fully yet but if Evans is a Harry Potter fan, he's alright to me!
