I kind of skipped the cup matches last week only having 1 live bet (which won) in total. Most of my time has gone into crypto and this will remain the case during this bull run so betting will be getting a bit less focus meaning I will be more selective in my bets and remain cautious on my stakes. I will continue to cover the league like I have the past 3+ years making previews on most days especially when there are multiple matches. 4 of them today to have a look at...

Oostende vs Sint-Truiden

Oostende played an even even match against Zulte-Waregem losing 2-1 away (on a bad pitch). Today, they play against Stvv who have been on a great run and love to play in the reaction which they should be able to do. I do expect to see a match where Oostende against plays with a lot of energy and high pressing with Stvv going their chance on the counters. I will have my eye on a couple possible bets which are Oostende on the Corners handicap and 1st Half Over / Over. Oostende also concedes goals in most of their matches while Stvv manages to score most of the times recently. Stvv Team total over also will be an option. For now I will keep it at No Pre-Game bets

Cercle Brugge vs Mechelen

Cercle Brugge has got a new coaching staff with Vandarhaege and Buffel and are in the danger zone 4 points behind a safe spot. The former Kortrijk coach has had a pattern of playing open home matches and defensive away matches and it will be interesting to see if this trend continues with his new club. Oftentimes, new coaches from bottom teams tend to first put the focus on defense so this potentially could turn in a match where not giving anything away might be a priority. Mechelen was expected to have a fun offensive match against Genk last week but it turned out is a disappointing 0-0 where they kept a point home which was not a bad result. Overall they have been playing very well. So how will this match play out, a new coach shock effect, extremely defensive Cercel, or KV Mechelen just showing they have more quality? I couldn't tell at this moment and taking anything in this match right now would feel like a complete gamble. No pre-Game Bets

Waasland vs Club Brugge

Waasland has been a disappointment as of late while Club Brugge stands out even though they often have a hard time covering their handicaps. My main angle remains to back Club Brugge when they somehow fall behind as they are capable to up the pace if they need to and looked very comfortable even when falling behind. So yeah, -2 for the away team pretty much says it all in this match and Waasland has not given any reason to trust them to oppose the visitors on that line. I do fully expect Waasland to go all defense with Club Brugge breaking it sooner than later to score a 2nd and maybe just conserve energy after that. No pre-Game bets

Standard vs Oud-Heverlee Leuven

Standard showed simply not to be good enough against Club Brugge. They played their best match the week before that against Oostende only getting a draw and were highly effective in the matches before when they had a hot run. Form of the day is key for them and I can't say I'm blindly confident in that. OHL is one of those teams where I'm just unable to get a good grip on what to think about them. They have been in somewhat of a bad streak recently only taking 1 on 9 but they generally have quite open matches so goals are certainly possible. Also in this match No Pre-Game Bets
