KV Oostende vs KV Mechelen

Oostende has taken 3 losses in their last matches with each of those having at least 3 goals and they are, even though it's not yet mathematical, out of the race while Mechelen is 2 points clear of AA Gent who they play in the final match. So regardless of what happens for Kv Mechelen, they will always have matter in their own hands in the last match which should lower the nerves today. If Mechelen takes at least a point and AA Gent somehow loses against Standard they already won the group. If they Take a point and AA Gent wins, they have enough with a draw in the final match so the draw certainly has a lot of value for them tonight. Mechelen played an excellent match against Standard especially in the 1st half and won deserved with a 3-1 score even though Standard also got plenty of chances to score. They will be without central defender Peyre today with Bateau taking his place and winger Storm is also injured. Oostende lost 0-4 to AA Gent which was kind of an exaggerated score. They have played with high intensity all season long and the combination of them not having a realistic chance to win their group combined with the fatigue of having played many matches in a row might make this into a let-down spot for them. This makes backing Mechelen the only real valid option for me for as far as taking a side goes. Similar to most playoff 2 matches, it is expected to be an open encounter that fully reflects in both the total and corner lines which are set at 3.25 and 11.5 which is too high for me to get into pre-game. All things combined, I had to go with a medium-sized bet on KV Mechelen +0.25 @ 1.815 on this match and I will see how to proceed in-game with likely more bets.

AA Gent vs Standard

AA Gent is 2nd in the group having 2 points behind on Mechelen and pretty much need to take the win tonight at all cost as they can't speculate on a draw. Standard is already eliminated and play for nothing with many players still out. (Bokadi, Raskin, Bodart, Bastien, Jans, Cimirot, Amallah). Standard hasn't been in all too good of a form with the only match they won during the playoffs coming against Gent in an overall poor match where AA Gent missed a penalty late in the match. Standard did get enough chances to score at least 2 or 3 in their last match even though they deserved the loss. Pretty much all the lines and odds seem adjusted to the situation with AA Gent being the big favorite in a match where they will have some pressure on them even though they will play against a B-Squad from Standard. The over is also set at 3.5 with the Standard team total at over 1. The only bet that slightly tempts me is AA Gent to win & Both to score @ 2.36+. For now, I will stay away hoping it stays 0-0 for a while or that Standard somehow scores the first goal in the match to bet on a comeback and possibly the corners market. No Pre-Game Bets
