Hello and welcome everyone as it is that time of the week again to highlight some of the better sporting posts that have flown through the sportstalk tribe feed over the last 7 days. The idea is to show the rest of HIVE what we have going on in here and to also try and showcase new users wherever possible. That is easier said than done and wish it was that simple. Users who are busy on Hive or within the community are supported and this is how it should be. Without further ado lets kick this weeks showcase off.
Why NBA Players Wear Masks and Ski Goggles
can always be relied on for his interesting topics and why he is so well supported. You just never know what is going to appear next and keeps us guessing. Who would have thought protective face masks could be so interesting and is a really unusual topic. I had no idea goggles were used before contact lenses and makes sense after reading this post. I have seen the masks being used in various sports except rugby. Rugby players play with broken noses and isn't an issue as it is broken already lol. One can understand players wearing these as it is a non contact sport and healing a broken cheekbone or a nose takes precedence. Swinging arms can happen in any sport so better to be safe than sorry if you are already carrying an injury.
updates us on his surfing travels, this time he is in Indonesia and not exactly roughing it for $10 a day. Really great to see people out and about travelling again which is something we have all missed.
is someone you should all be following as he gets around exploring some fantastic places on his bicycle or like now taking his surfboards for an epic trip. I will be looking out for updates and new photos when his photographer buddy appears.
IPL 2022 GT vs PBKS Preview - Gujarat within touching distance of a top 2 finish
I enjoy as his posts have a certain type of quality about them. If I was a betting man I would read his previews every day as they offer an insight many over look. In cricket like any other sports form is paramount and everything else is secondary. I know the effort and time that it takes to produce each post and this is a pure joy he has for the sport.
The Sunday Night SportsNerd Show - Draft Recap & NHL Playoffs!
The first time we are featuring on the showcase but well worth viewing if you haven't watched any of his shows. I am not a big American sports fan but just the banter alone is fun to listen to. This weeks show was about the all important draft and the NHL Playoffs.
is someone who is seriously passionate about his American Football even though his side hasn't done that well over the years. This is a true sports fan
as he believes next year could be the year (sound familiar).
Battle for Top 4 gets tougher.
discusses the top 4 in the English Premiership and how they have been playing musical chairs swapping positions every other week. I do think Chelsea are safe with the run in they have as two wins should be sufficient. Saying that there are no easy games left unless the team is relegated and Watford look guaranteed of going down. The fight is between Arsenal and Tottenham and my money is on Tottenham for no other reason than I think they are more of a rounded team. Everyone has their views on this and it is great to read others thoughts.
As you can see from all of the posts selected this week they are all original filled with their own thoughts and opinions. This is what sport is all about and what makes it so special. Until next week a big thank you to the sportstalk community and stay busy.
