As I am a persistent person, I investigated a little deeper and concluded what I was most afraid of.
Its creator has abandoned this community.
As we can see, he no longer has which SPORTS, he sold all his SPORTS 7 months ago.
But isn't he the one wanting to decentralize power?
I recently saw the STEM account unstake and want to decentralize the holders, but he didn't sell the tokens, creating selling pressure.
It sent the tokens to null.
In Patrick's case, he clearly didn't think about decentralization, he just wanted to put some more money in his pocket without wanting to know what would happen to the community.
Now we have a community where the creator abandoned it and doesn't want to know more about it, since only he has access to the domain's hosting, and only he has the private keys of the community accounts.
If he wants now, we can do without our frontend, he just has to stop renewing it, without the discord channel and of course without the community funds.
Is this so-called decentralization?
I don't think this is the model in which a community should be created and managed.
If we want to have/be a real community involved with sport, we need to take some actions.
In my opinion there are two possibilities: try to “correct” what is wrong in this community or start a community about sport from scratch where we will not make the mistakes made here.
For any of the options, I already find myself gaining knowledge so that we can move on to one of the decided options.
Regardless of the community's decision, to continue or create a new community, this clearly demonstrated that a community cannot be fully decentralized before reaching an enormous degree of maturity. That's why I think a structure should be created that would be responsible for the community.
In this way, we guarantee that if any of the elements were absent for whatever reason, the community could continue without any problem.
Community Structure
I think that two separate “entities” could be created, one that would be the people who would handle the hosting and domain of the community, would have access to the keys of the community accounts, and they would be the ones to guarantee that there were no abuses in relation to the community token and the another entity wanted a sort of round table where community issues would be discussed and decisions taken together.
I have not talked with anyone about this but ,
,
and
are people that are active on our community and I will love to have in the community structure.
What is your opinion about this?
The Roadmap I thought would be the following:
- create new community accounts;
- move all assets from the current accounts to the new accounts (I'm already studying how the current DAO works so that this can be done);
- there is a new frontend in relation to our community where we would have advertisements to be another source of passive income for the community (in the image below you can see that I am already analyzing this situation);
- create different passive income alternatives for the community;
Regarding the current DAO, there is a question that I still don't know how to do because I haven't found information on how to make a proposal to remove a delegation.
Does anyone know how to do it or if there is an ARCHON discord where I can clarify my doubt?
If yes, can you share the link with me, please?
What's your opinion?
As Sport holders, how would you like to advance?
