Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has expressed his happiness at defeating Getafe, 2-0, in a postponed match in the first round of La Liga matches.
Zidane said, during statements reported by the Spanish newspaper "Marca": "I am happy that we played a good match despite the absence. We played in a new way, but things went well."
He added: "We did not prepare much for the match, but we spent time talking and organizing the new way we played today, and the players understood it well, which is good when you play in a way that you are not used to and appear well."
And about Marcelo, he explained: "He appeared well, but he suffered a blow. I don’t know if it was muscular or in the ankle, but he is training well and wants to contribute."
On the participation of Isco as an alternative, he replied: "He trained for only one Maran, so he had to gradually rely on him, and nothing else."
He continued: "The difference of 5 points with Atletico Madrid? We are focusing on ourselves, and our duty is to fight to the end, where 51 points remain in the tournament."
