Tottenham coach Jose Mourinho dispelled speculation that he was under pressure to achieve positive results, stressing that he was still the right man to end the club's fasting of titles during the 13 years this season.
Tottenham suffered a third consecutive loss in the Premier League for the first time since November 2012, by losing 1-0 to Chelsea, on Thursday.
In response to concerns about his future at the club, Mourinho said that the League Cup final against Manchester City in April is an opportunity for Tottenham to achieve their first major title since winning the same title in 2008.
"I put pressure on myself every day, and I don't need pressure from others. Since 2012, I haven't lost 3 games in a row, have I not? Since when have I not won a title? Maybe I can win a title," Mourinho said at a press conference.
After leading the league in early December, Tottenham fell to eighth place, now, by 14 points, behind leaders Manchester City.
The Portuguese coach stressed that Tottenham should focus on ending the series of defeats, when they host West Bromwich, who is threatened with relegation, on Sunday.
He also talked about resuming the European League this month, a competition that provides an alternative path to qualifying for the Champions League, if he fails to finish the Premier League season in the golden box.
