Wow! My appetite sure works in mysterious ways. I never knew I would have an appetite to embrace the International break, but circumstances made me face this and go 2 weeks without watching club football. Haha.
You may be wondering why someone who loathes international breaks suddenly showed a distorted affection towards it.
Don't worry, I will tell you why;
Firstly, I'm a big Liverpool fan and I genuinely enjoy each game we play, but the ones I've seen this season have been an eyesore. The performance of the team is almost laughable and it's telling in the score sheet.
Secondly, my performance in the fantasy premier league (FPL) is as bad as it gets. Wow. I know it's my first time exploring this game, but my performance in the first 8 game weeks is fairly uninspiring.
These two elements played out so well in overwhelming proportion. It came as wave after wave of disappointing results, both in the English Premier League (EPL) and Fantasy Premier League (FPL).
I, who always frowns about an international break, was suddenly begging for it. Haha. Well, it came and it is over. Two good weeks without club football. Club football will be back in action from tomorrow and this leaves me with a very important question;
Will things remain the same?
In all honesty, I will be gutted to see Liverpool play as they did before the break. It will be very disappointing. I wish to see the team we all knew as the mentality monsters.
Well, it won't be long before we see what the lads have to offer. Our next game will be played on 1st October.
That's from hours from now.
Expectations from the game: A Win!
I only wish for a win and a very convincing one at that. Not some 97th-minute winner (which I love on special occasions) or some win through penalty. Now I'm sounding like someone that is going with a world-class team to play against a Sunday league team. Haha. Interesting!
It's good to have club football back. Let's enjoy what the game brings for our viewing pleasure.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma.
