For the record, this post was drafted in real-time while watching the game.
Liverpool goes away to London Stadium to play their kick-off fixture of this gameweek against West Ham. It's interesting to see Liverpool starting an important game like that without Salah, Nunez, or Szobo while each of them is fit. Although, I can't really complain because we've played our best XI repeatedly and they don't seem to be getting the results.
First Half...
This particular half of the game hasn't been inspiring. Liverpool are not pressing well enough and even when they manage to win the ball and break the opponent's backline, they still struggle to take a decent shot or even get something at the back of the net.
At some point in the first half, Liverpool had a penalty shout which wasn't awarded by Antony Taylor, the on-field referee. It became a controversial call and had to be reviewed with VAR for offside in the build-up. The Offside was given resulting to the denial of any penalty.
The first half would have ended with a boring 0 - 0 after an uninspiring display by Liverpool. However, West Ham stepped up and broke the deadlock with a goal in the final minutes of the first half. This could be another disasterclass for Liverpool if they fail to make a proper difference in the second half of the game. They may have to kiss their EPL title race goodbye.
Second Half...
With just 3 minutes into the second half, Liverpool managed to create a few half chances and Robertson buried one of the chances to level the scoreline to a 1 - 1 draw. This would be a really good time to bring in some attacking players
The second goal was rather comical. It came from a corner kick played by Liverpool. Gakpo received the ball and took a shot which was deflected into West Ham's post by their own player. The goal was given as an own-goal, but Liverpool wouldn't care. All they know is that they are already in a winning position.
West Ham kept pushing to get something out of the game while Liverpool struggled at the back. The pressure from West Ham grew bigger and they ended up getting an equalizer in the 77th minute.
Bruh... It's getting worse for Liverpool.
You know what, it's fairly obvious that Liverpool is experiencing really tough stuff in the final moments of our stay with Jurgen Klopp. Everyone is literally fuming because everything is going to shit and we all mouth all we want, but, what was that effing bullshit from Salah?
This guy has done so much for Liverpool and I will always remember Mo Salah as one of the players that played really well in Liverpool shirt. However, I'm not going to sit back and pretend like everything is okay when Salah thinks he can publicly disrespect Klopp when we are already dealing with a lot of bullshit.
I love Salah, but his performance in this second half of the season has been abysmal. So, having him do what he did in the touchline today is something I never expected I would see from any Liverpool player. It's absolutely ridiculous and I don't care if he doesn't get to play again for what's left of the season.
In fact, Mo Salah can find his own way out of Liverpool.
